Therapeutic Massage is the assessment of physical issues and the development of a treatment plan to relieve and or reduce pain. Our staff of massage therapists are highly trained in Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release and Trigger Point Massage which all fall under the Therapeutic Massage category. Neuromuscular Therapy addresses the mind-body connection which alleviates chronic muscle and nervous system disorders. Myofascial Release is a technique that focuses on pain within the myofascial tissues, which are the tough membranes that wrap, connect, and support your muscles. Trigger Point Massage is a technique that targets knots in muscle and other related tissues that trigger pain. Trauma Sensitive Bodywork is different than most massages in that you will be fully clothed and face-up on a comfortable massage table through the entire session. If you prefer, you could even be in a seated position. Based on work developed by Touch Education, this technique can help calm the many symptoms arising from PTSD, Anxiety, Stress, Depression, and Sensory Processing Disorder.
