What is Roxiva®?
Roxiva® is an immersive audio-visual meditation and brainwave entrainment experience that uses rhythmic light frequencies, music, and sound to gently guide the brain into altered and restorative states of consciousness. Participants view a centrally placed Roxiva® light source with eyes closed while sound and music play through headphones.

If you're reading this and thinking "What is this... and how does it even work?"- you're not alone. Roxiva® is difficult to fully explain in wordsbecause much of the experience happens internally. Many people describe it as psychedelic-like, dream-like, or trance-inducing - without the use of any substances. It's not something you think your way through; it's something you experience.
Although the Roxiva® light itself is soft white, many people report vivid colors, patterns, and imagery. This happens because the brain interprets the rhythmic flickering internally, activating visual and sensory processing areas-similar to dreaming or deep meditation. The imagery is created by the brain rather than projected by the light, which is why every experience is unique.

Roxiva® works through brainwave entrainment, a natural process in which the brain synchronizes with steady sensory rhythms. This allows the nervous system to shift out of stress-based patterns and into more coherent, regulated states associated with relaxation, insight, and deep rest.

How Roxiva® Works with Brainwaves
Your brain produces electrical activity—brainwaves—that change depending on whether you're thinking, focusing, resting, meditating, or sleeping. Roxiva® uses rhythmic light pulses and sound to gently guide the brain through multiple brainwave ranges during a session:

• Alpha – calm, creativity, relaxed alertness

• Theta – meditation, dreaming, deep emotional processing

• Delta – profound rest, nervous system reset, brain recovery

• Gamma – heightened awareness, insight, integration, clarity

By layering and blending these frequencies, Roxiva® allows the brain to move fluidly between states. This combination often creates experiences that feel expansive, immersive, and unlike ordinary waking consciousness—states that are rarely accessed in daily life and difficult to reach through effort alone.

What to Expect

• You'll lie comfortably on the floor in our peaceful space with headphones on and eyes closed

• A single Roxiva® light is shared by a small group (typically 5–8 people)

• Multiple Roxiva® lights will run simultaneously, allowing multiple small groups to journey at the same time

The experience begins with a brief welcome and simple education on how Roxiva® works, including a 6-minute "Welcome to Roxiva®" light session. This short introduction allows you to sample some of the different ways the light and sound interact before moving into the full experience—helpful if this is your first time and you're not quite sure what to expect.
For this event, a specific Roxiva® session will be intentionally selected to create a powerful and memorable journey. Roxiva® offers many session styles and frequency combinations, which means each experience can be curated rather than being a single, fixed format.
After the session, there will be time for integration, reflection, and optional group sharing, allowing space to gently reorient and make sense of the experience if you wish.

What to Bring

• Water

• Optional journal or notepad to capture reflections or insights

• Comfortable, non-restrictive clothing suitable for lying down

• Mats, blankets, and pillows are provided to support your comfort.

Important Information & Contraindications
Roxiva® uses flickering light and sound frequencies and may not be appropriate for everyone. Contraindications include, but are not limited to:

• History of seizures or photosensitive epilepsy

• Neurological conditions or brain injuries, including recent concussion or traumatic brain injury

• Vertigo, which may be triggered by flickering light or altered states

• Sensitivity to flickering or flashing light, including light-triggered migraines

• Pregnancy (out of an abundance of caution)

• Medications or medical conditions that may increase seizure risk

All participants are required to complete a waiver and contraindications form prior to the experience to confirm that Roxiva® is safe and appropriate for them. If you're unsure whether this experience is right for you, please reach out before registering.

One Last Thing
Roxiva® is not something you fully "get" from reading about it. It's an experience—often surprising, sometimes profound, and always unique. If you're curious, open-minded, and willing to explore a new state of awareness without substances, this may be an experience you'll remember long after it ends.
