The Trager® Approach
The Trager® Approach is a form of movement education that utilizes gentle touch and simple rhythmic movement. This helps the client achieve relaxation and relief from tension, stress, and pain. The goal of Trager® is to replace old habits of "holding on" with new ways of "letting go" that lead to lighter, freer, easier movement in everyday activities. Following a Trager® session, clients report feeling relaxed, floating, being taller, feeling more space in their bodies, more grounded, deeper breathing, more energy, a clearer mind, and elevated mood. These sensations can be recalled later so that the client is able to return to the relaxed state they experienced during the Trager® session.
The technique is especially beneficial for lymphatic conditions, swelling of joints and muscles, edema, wound healing, and anxiety.
