Elats Kowat Payitz
with Nemenhah Chief Anthony “Silver Bear” DeLaCruz, LMT, Medicine Man

This is a demonstration of the ancient Native American Sacred Healing Ceremony of Nemenhah called Elats Kowat Payitz by Nemenhah Chief Anthony “Silver Bear” DeLaCruz, LMT, Medicine Man.

This type of bodywork is a unique experience that moves the lymph, balances the muscles, releases myofascial restrictions, opens the joints, increases range of motion and moves the chi. The work is done on the participant with clothes on. The demonstration will last approximately an hour. Questions and answers may be asked at any time throughout the demo. This is very unique bodywork that only a handful of people perform in the world at this time. Once you have received this work you feel very balanced, erect and relaxed. Very helpful to athletes of every sort and those who feel restricted and lack flexibility. This ancient Native American Sacred Ceremonial Bodywork assists the body in returning to a state of health previously experienced as a child. Come and observe that which few have ever seen or experienced and decide if Elats Kowat Payitz may be something that you would like to experience yourself.

For the first time the Nemenhah are also offering to teach this Sacred Healing Ceremony to those who are not Nemenhah. If you think you might be interested in learning Elats Kowat Payitz please attend the demo and express your interest to Chief Silver Bear. Origami: The Japanese Art of Paper Folding with Sylvia Niedner

Sylvia Niedner will teach you how to fold origami cups, birds and butterflies, demonstrating basic techniques and exploring some of the spiritual aspects of the art. This class is geared to children 9 and up and adults. Paper will be provided.

Personal Pamper Day

Your Personal Pamper Day will start with a lovely Welcome Gift and Time of Guided Meditation to help you release any stress from the day and ease into the rest of your relaxing afternoon. Next you will experience Sound Therapy with Tuning Forks, which introduce the Solfeggio Frequencies into the subtle energy fields of your body. Each chakra has a different frequency associated with it, and the different tuning forks correspond with these frequencies. The forks resonate with the specific vibration of each chakra, so when these energy centers are out of balance the tuners bring them back into balance by entrainment. After your Tuning Fork session, you will experience Reiki Energy Healing, which is based on the belief that there is an energetic flow in and through all living things. When this energy is low or blocked, we are more likely to get sick and feel stressed. Make Your Own Scrying Mirror

Michele Griffin will be leading us on a path of creativity as she teaches us how to inscribe our own scrying mirror with meaningful symbols. She will also be teaching us how to use our mirror! Advanced Animal Reiki Practicum

Building on techniques and principles introduced in Animal Reiki Levels I and II, the Animal Reiki Advanced Practicum is an experience-rich two hour class session. Each month, a different Advanced Animal Reiki learning opportunity will be featured in an instructional, supportive setting. Complicated cases featured may be behavioral, medical, or a combination of both. Students will benefit from hands on direction, support, and critique of their work with the animal client. Prerequisite: AR I and AR II.

Internship Program
Starts February 15

Are you an Advanced or Master Practitioner who would like to further improve your skills? Perhaps you haven’t practiced for a while and you would like to refresh your abilities and basic information?

The 2012 Internship Program will provide the answers and personalized attention to help each Advanced or Master Level Practitioner build confidence and abilities. Students of all lineages and schools may apply, however, students who are not graduates of The Reiki Center will first demonstrate a basic knowledge consistent with most Reiki II schools, including understanding and actively using the primary Reiki symbols, components of the human biofield, and the Reiki Principles. 

The classes are divided into six modules, with a combination of classroom discussion and practitioner/client table experience. Course topics include:

• How to Talk to Clients about Reiki, including Clinical Studies;
• In-depth study of the Chakras and Biofield Energy;
• The Treatment Process (client intake, practitioner etiquette and protocol);
• Anatomy and Physiology review;
• How to address the unexpected;
• The importance of Reiki symbols and Distant Reiki;
• Other modalities that enhance the Reiki experience (crystals, tuning forks, color therapy);
• Insurance and legal aspects of practice

The Internship Program is facilitated by Center Director Linda Haley. Classes will be held on six consecutive Tuesdays from February 15 through March 21 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
 
A graduation ceremony and presentation of a certificate will celebrate the completion of your advanced training.
